The Story Cellar

A HARPIST WILL BE WORKING ALONGSIDE THE STORY CELLAR TO BRING THIS TALE TO LIFE!

In the hope that isolation rules have relaxed by the summer then sign up your 6-11 year olds for this fantastic theatrical and social event for £65. (No money will be requested until just before the workshops in case they cannot go ahead.)

Based on the literary classic by Phiippa Pearce. Young Tom has been sent away to live with his Aunt & Uncle to avoid catching his brother's measles where he is isolated and kept indoors (sound familiar?) But through his boredom and solitude he finds the most magical secret. Night after night the old grandfather clock strikes thirteen, the hour after midnight, and a most wondrous time portal allows Tom to escape into a beautiful garden and feel part of the past and the family who once lived there.

Work as a team in an appropriate social distanced fashion to explore words and movement reflecting isolation and adventure. Perform for family and friends at the end of three days to showcase your exploration of puppetry, musical movement and dialogue devising. No experience necessary and a great way to make new friends.

£65 for the three days / 10am-4pm
